Lots of fun hanging out, relaxing, playing baseball and being with the ones we love. Random reel of our summer....
Visit at Poppi and Grammi's new house
My garden did great April-June. July was rough, and I just gave up in August. Looking forward to a fall garden again....
Eli is my little gardener, which is why I love a garden in the first place. He loved coming home from school and seeing what vegetables were growing and if he could eat anything off the vine. He loved picking the banana peppers and tomatoes to eat right there, and enjoyed watching the watermelon grow.
My new art work at my desk to keep me going. Thankful for mother's day arts and crafts at school ;)
Tennis Anyone?
Both kids love animals and the zoo. Eli is sharing food to Everley and teaching her how to feed the goats.
Little view into the Gisters trip to NY/CT....aka, my work trip that Ali crashed ;)
Girls Night out - Love these ladies!
Derek does not travel for work that often, but when he does he makes sure its a place worth going. This trip was to San Francisco for his meeting with Google. The stories of the Google office are a little crazy, you will have to ask Derek next time you see him.
Tickles and Laughs, followed my more tickles.
I can't get enough of these two and lazy Saturday morning cuddles/shenanigans.
Quote from Sandlot (with pretzel sticks in their mouth), "I'm the GREAT BAMBINO."
Hot wagon rides to the mailbox.
Date night at a dive bar by our house. Drinks, pool, music and cornhole. Done and Done!
Happy Birthday Poppi!!
I'm not sure who was more excited to play baseball, Eli or my dad? This alone would have sufficed for a birthday present for Poppi!! :)
Sunbathing after the pool with Grammi.
Smoothie breaks with this sweet one
I still can't believe Everley prefers to sit at the table with Eli. She is growing up!
Books and blocks in bed, just hanging out. Doesn't get any better than this!
The cutest view in my opinion
Where do I begin?!?1 So I have had some weird health issues come up with my immune system and psorasis. I found out, that I have a rare form of psorosis that only 1 in 10 people who have psorasis get. I mean, really?!?! COME ON!! Why does that always happen to me. I guess I should just expect it by now. But Guttate Psoriasis starts out and looks like a rash, essentially small scaly patches ALL over my body, from my Scalp to my feet. I swear my body is worse than the pictures on Google, and that is no exaggeration. Even the dermatologist confirmed that this is alot!
So while I am going everything I can internally to help fight these autoimmune issues, I am also going to the dermatologist every other day for Photo Therapy. This is essentially a safe tanning bed that only uses UVB (in the back of the picture). You only go in for less than a minute when you start out. For example, I am probably on session 15 (or more) now, and I just reached the 2 minute mark. I hope it is doing something, because it takes longer to get dressed and undressed, then the whole session takes.
I am also on day 22 of whole 30, so we will see if the combo of treaty any gut issues, with some sort of topical healing will get rid of this.
In the meantime, I got this soak in Golden, CO. Made there by the Spinster Sisters. This only have 5 ingredients, and is so soothing and so amazing. I just ran out and need to either order more or figure out how to make this.
#Imomsohard Comedy show. I love these ladies on Facebook. They are hilarious and speak truth about motherhood and women in general. So cool to see them live at the Moody Theater with Lindsay and Casey.
I have no caption for this picture, but it just makes me laugh every time!
These two love to paint together. I swear we need a power blaster for our back porch.
This picture was taken in Port Aransas for our summer beach vacation this past May. My heart hurts for my beach town that holds a very special place in my heart. I used to live on the island when I went to college, and I taught piano lessons in Port A. My bachelorette party was there, and we have gone back every year for our annual beach trip. Hopefully they will recover quickly, but there was tons of damage. Love you Port A
Boys date to the movies.
