Once again, January flew by!! Here are some randoms that I want to remember.
Our New Years Weekend dinner date. We went to a relatively new restaurant, Fixe. I think this could be our new favorite. The chef is from Louisiana, and the menu was a fine dining twist on Southern Comfort food. DELICIOUS!!
Father and Son relaxing after a long days work eating Daniel Fast worthy popcorn.
Derek and I completed the 21 day Daniel Fast again this year. This is basically cutting back and eating everything Daniel ate in the bible - fruits, veges, legumes, etc. Basically no meat, dairy, sugar, preservatives. It was definitely a little harder this year being pregnant; however, when I had all of my blood work done last year for my autoimmune disease while fasting, my levels were almost back to normal. If I can do the same thing now while in my last few weeks with Everley, hopefully I can minimize any clotting or side effects that my autoimmune disease can cause. Derek and I made it, and were definitely tempted and tried a few times; however, I am so glad we made it through together. It's always a great way to start the new year with a spiritual and physical cleanse. We were so excited to eat eggs after the fast that we had to celebrate with a picture.
Everley will more than likely be as small as Eli. As we learned with him, premie clothes were the way to go until he hit about 8 pounds (which took a couple of months). I have been on the lookout for girl preemie's, especially the footed onesies. No such luck. However, my mom has been on the lookout as well and she pulled through - so cute, and tiny!! Thank you Mimi!!
Lifting weights with dad - one of Eli's new favorite hobbies
January Time Hops!! Love these and the memory lane it takes us down.
Our work trip to NOLA. He wasn't even crawling then ...
Our first year of marriage - hanging out on the couch with just a cat - ha!
This was so much fun. This is when Kyle came back from his first deployment. Ali had a boombox playing Neil Diamond - "Coming to America"
I still remember this picnic to this day. This was not a special occasion, nor a celebration, just us hanging out as a family enjoying the outside. One of my favorite moments.
Thought I would give Sienna some love on the blog....yes, we have a cat :)
Another one of my favorite days just hanging out as a family. The best part about our apartment were the many parks nearby that we could just walk and hang out in.
