Jackson is Jenni and Brian's little boy. Jenni and I have been friends since I was in college. I love that our boys are so close in age and we can start the next generation together. Jackson's 1st birthday was amazing with the theme of "Jackson Square" in New Orleans with Mardi Gras decor - so cute!! And let's not forget the New Orleans Jazz band to accompany the event. We all had a blast - thank you for including us!!
Jackson's musical instrument section in his playroom puts ours to shame. I, I mean Eli, had a blast playing with all of them. Drums, tambourines, bells, shakers, the list goes on...
I was lucky enough where Jackson wanted me to hold him; however, Eli was not having any of that. He immediately crawled up my leg to be held too - this boy is very territorial of his mama :)
Sitting outside playing with the band. Love that he is using the maraca to beat on the tambourine. He is already learning how to be a one man band.
They also had a puppet show for all the kids. Eli loved it because the puppets were all dogs, and we had to get up and dance with music was playing. Our kind of puppet show!
As you can tell, Eli wanted to dance with the dog while everybody else was just watching. I don't think we have a shy child :)
Happy Birthday Jackson!!
The amazing band!!
