Colorado Day 4

Colorado Day 4 - Tuesday 8/8

Tuesday was our Estes Park day.  We hung out on the grounds and did whatever we wanted.  No Schedule- My kind of day!!  We started with putt putt in the morning, headed over to the basketball and baseball courts, made slime, and then finished up in town on the Mountain Tramway

Rise and Shine, it's Putt Putt time!

Family Photos before Kyle and Pallyn had to leave for the airport.  Must be nice to hop on a 2 hour flight back home ;)

Funny pic

I can't get enough of these two!  When we say BFFs, its for real!

Checker and Chess while the kids play basketball.  Something for everyone here.

Gotta love basketball with those views!!

And then the adults ... for some reason, the kids look ALOT cuter than we do :)

I cannot tell you how excited Eli was to play baseball on a REAL baseball field with REAL bases.  This was the highlight of the trip.  We had to purposely walk around the baseball field sometimes so he wouldnt see it, or make up any excuse.  But, we ended up spending a good portion of our trip here.  He loved it!  The joy in his eyes and smile, and I have never seen him run so fast.  You would think the altitude would have slowed him down, but I think it gave him a boost!!
And he is coming in HOME!!!

Daddy/Uncle Derek for the WIN! Ice Cream after baseball!!

So this actually cracks me up.  There is an actual ice cream parlor right behind the kids.  It sells regular ice cream in a cone.  The sign right behind Ryder actually says something about "Ice Cream".  However, Derek couldn't find it, so they did the next best thing ... bought ice cream snickers and twix from the gift shop - LOL!  Looks like the kids were happy either way.  Judging by the pictures, they are perfectly content and happy.
Derek does this move with the Eli all the time.  Eli has finally mastered it!  You should see the video, and Derek's chant to go with it.

You can't really tell, but the black birds in the distance are actually a family of turkeys.  They always walked around out cabin.  They were the cutest!  3 adult turkeys, and about 10 little babies just scattering and walking around.
Eli is still a little jaded when it comes to Turkeys.  He had a turkey bite him last year during a fall festival.  He remembers it to this day, and he made sure nobody went to close to them.

It was raining in the afternoon, so after naps (or actually we woke the kids up), we went to go make slime.  Apparently this is a new trend.  I don't get it.  I made it once, and will never make it again.
Making slime with MiMi!  I'm pretty sure she has the same thoughts about slime ...
Aslynn's first batch of slime did not turn out, and was a complete disaster.  All you can do is laugh and try to get it off your hands and back in the cup.  Ultimately, you just need to start over....

And, if you look in the background, Derek was the smart one and took Evi over to the games away from the Slime.  He is so happy he made that move, and clearly his smile says it all -- good choice babe!

E and R were being silly and acting like their slime was like snot. Doing the whole "Ahh-choo" trick.  Too cute.
Afterwards we headed into town to ride the Tram up the mountain.  It fit 10 adults, so we made it happen and got 6 adults, 4 kids, and a baby.

Everley actually loved this!!  She was laughing and talking the whole time.  Her eyes were lit up!

The views from up top.  Always beautifull!

After a long day, we celebrated with S'Mores made my Uncle Eric and Aunt Ali.  Success!!
