Colorado Day 2 - Sunday 8/6
First full day, in Colorado. Just to back track a little bit, Eli loved being with all of his cousins, and that he was finally able to sleep in the same room with them. For the most part it worked out, and we are sad that we didnt get a picture of all the kids in their bunk beds. Eli loved being a big kid!!
Sunday morning we woke up to Legos and Candyland with the kiddos. Thanks Uncle E!
In Colorado we wear our dinosaur shoes. It's cold, they are comfy, and why not?!?!
Our cabin was the perfect location. Right across the street was a our own little boulder funscape with built in forts to explore. The kids loved it -- especially the bffs, Eli and Ry-Roo!
We have the coolest area outside of our Meadowview Cabin. There are boulders, and all these forts in between the rocks. The kids spent hours around here, and we can just peep out of the window of our cabin and see them. Glorious.
Derek took video of their conversation on the rock. Oh to be a fly on the wall sometimes .. the best!
At the YMCA, they have mini day camps and activities for the kids. Eric and Derek took the cousins to the "Scat Tour" class and "Little Explorers". They literally learned about different wildlife and scat (AKA Poop).
The Little Explorer class started in the Labryinth and then everybody got to ring a big bell, which I am told Eli loved. Eli and Ry are in the front of the line leading the way like good little explorers.
My other sweet little explorer
Oh the one who doesn't take naps and think they are a waste of time .... Another one for the Annual Awkward photo calendar.
Family baseball game in front of our cabin.
Uncle Kyloo and Pallyn arrive, and who doesn't love a ride in the convertible. Let's just pretend we live in the 80s again and we don't need carseats to drive down the road :)
Everybody loves a family tennis match, It's a Colorado tradition!! Even Pallyn joined in for a little bit. I am very impressed with the In-Laws picking up racquets (some for the first time), and participating with this competitive driven family - ha!
Everley even loved playing!! Little tennis star in the making.
Charles actually reminded me that the first time I ever picked up a racquet was on these courts back in the early 90s. Glad we can pass on one of the many traditions to our kiddos. Must be something in the mountains :)
A little Gister friendly competition ... if that's what you want to call it.
Mom loving on her baby boy. This was Kyle's birthday celebration and they were only in town for 2 days, so trying to make every moment count. I'd say we did a pretty good job.
Family photo at the park right outside our cabin.
