Big News - We are Expeciting #2!!

Yes its true, #2 is on the way - Arriving March 2016.  We are so thrilled and excited to announce this to our fellow blog readers only (for right now).  We are 14 weeks and going strong, and just overwhelmed with joy.  Eli is going to going to be a BIG BROTHER - Ahhhh!!!  Just the thought of this warms my heart.  They will be 22 months apart and close buddies.  Their relationship will be so fun to watch unfold.

Because of some of the postpartum issues I had with Eli, we are seeing a specialist in addition to our regular doctor.  This turns out to be a blessing because we have twice the amount of appointments, and we get to see our babe every time!  With that being said, below are some stats on babe and mom, and all of the pictures to get you caught up on all of our appointments so far.  Can't wait to give you more updates along the way.
(P.S. - stay posted on our Gender reveal/Big Brother photos coming up.  We had our photo session today, and waiting for the final pictures .... :)

1) 14 week appt - Heart rate 153
2) 12 week appt - Babe was kicking and rubbing eyes during the ultrasound.  Heart rate - 160
3) Gave us a thumbs up in the picture to let us know everything is alright (picture below)
4) 8 week appt - normally, the babe looks like a bean sprout.  However, in our picture Derek said the babe looks like a turkey
4) I have been craving limes, limes, and more limes.  Seriously, sonic limeades, lime popsicles, and our favorite family outing - lime snow cones.
5) Way more nauseous this go around than with Eli.  With Eli I had morning sickness, but it always happened at night when I was at home.  This time around, it always started around 2pm.  Lunch was the last meal I could eat.  All food would gross me out
6) Crazy gag reflex!! I never throw up - just gag uncontrollably.  FUN TIMES!  Eli totally makes fun of me by pointing, laughing, and then mocking me.  I never thought you could gag and laugh at the same time ... but it can happen
7) No weight gain yet, but it totally feels like it.  I can tell my body is taking shape
8) We haven't had any gender dreams like we did with Eli...
9) We had the 12 week genetic testing at our specialist appointment.  This is a blood test where they test for everything - even the sex now.  This is so new, that we didn't even have this option with Eli.  Regardless, results came back great and looking good!!  Gender to be revealed soon ...

Psalm 139:13-16
For You formed my inward parts. You wove me in my mother's womb;
I will give you thank to You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made in; Wonderful are Your works. And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.

 8 week ultrasound - see if you can see the turkey Derek is talking about ... I think more of a rotisserie chicken - ha!
 12 week Ultrasound (3D).  The thumbs up! I know its hard to tell if it's not your own, so I will do my best to describe.  The top center of the picture is the head, with the thumb slightly in front to the left.  Looks like the babe is sucking the other thumb, with 2 little feet at the bottom.
 12 Week Regular ultrasound - love the faint leg in the top left just kicking around.
Any guesses?!?!?! Stayed tuned for the next post ...
