September Fun

September has come on gone.  I feel like we just hung out, but looking back and pictures we had a great time with family and friends.  The only thing better would be a little cooler weather.  I am running so hot these days because of the babe.  Our house is literally freezing to Derek, but I feel like I'm sweating and so uncomfortable.  And for those that know me, I love a blanket in the summer time ... so you know something is off.  Anyways, come on fall!!!!

Ummm - who are these babes?!?!!?  This popped up on my time hop and I love it - 7 years ago - WOW!! This was our first "date" out on the town.  I say date loosely, because we both needed our besties there with us to check the other one out, and be a scapegoat in case we needed to leave "early".  Clearly it worked out :)

Saturday morning tradition ... soccer and waffles, with a closer view to the TV
Brooke and Micah are our friends that moved to Texarkana.  They were our original leaders in our Newly/Nearly Married class at the church.  They came over for a visit, and loved that we were able to meet baby Ruby and Eli was able to play with Ellis this time.  Love this family, and can't wait for the next visit!!
Miss Ellis!! Loved taking selfies ... be careful though, she already knows how to upload them to instagram -- too cute!
Ellis, Eli, and Ruby.  Derek was a champ and played with all of the kiddos so the girls could visit and catch up.
Eli was a little jealous of Ruby, and didn't particularly like that Derek was holding her and not him.  We might be in for a long ride .... :)
It's still summertime in Texas -- bring out the water activities!!

 Those eyes!!
And love this contagious smile.  I can't just choose one!!

Thank you Jenni for having a birthday and allowing us to get all dressed up and hit the town.  I mean, I even wore heels ... what in the world?!?!  When was the last time you wore heels in Austin??  I guess that just means I was happy to be out of the burbs and took advantage of our night out :)
We started out at a craft cocktail bar, which was actually pretty awesome.  However, Derek did not expect to get the drink below when he ordered, thought it would be a little more manly :)

 Happy Birthday Jenni!!
AND - Happy Birthday April!  I got to go out twice in one week - woohoo!!
The Three Musketeers at Daycare - Grayson, Harper, and Eli.  Derek said they looked like they were in Baby jail, but they were actually so cute.  One morning they all ran to the door to say bye after dropping Eli off.  I just wanted to stay and play with them all day - its definitely still hard to leave some days.
This picture makes me laugh.  Just chilling at school sipping on his milk.

Family photo opp!!
Happy Birthday Shay!!  So happy to celebrate with our friends.  I can't believe our boys are growing up so fast!

I think its so cute when my boys nap together.  You can tell this is a weekend staple at the Davis household, and it looks like it standing true one year later :)

And speaking of timehop ... who is the little munchkin?!?!?! <3
OK - back to present day.  Love our family nieghbor outings.  Eli loves his bike trailer.  Every time we go to the garage (whether we are riding bikes or not), he climbs in and wants to go for a ride.  We finally got him a new helmet, so we needed to test it out!!

And of course we had to ride our bikes to the playground!
I love the progression of the slide pictures.  He has so much fun and I cant stand the cuteness of these two!!

So thirsty after a hard afternoon of playing.  Of course he has to drink out of our water bottles.
My little explorers
We had a spontaneous get together at our house to watch the SAints and the Cowboys game.  We really were only expecting a few couples; however, for some reason, I guess Derek missed all of the group texts.  Every time somebody walked through the door I was pleasantly surprised.  So much fun having everybody over!
I love watching our MC group flourish.  We all started this group as newly weds, and now we keep multiplying!!  The on going trend is a new baby every 6 months.  We all try to stay on a routine baby schedule :)  Eli, Annabelle, Colson, and soon to be pictured Wyatt Watkins!!
Grayson - Eli's school buddy even came over.  We just found out that Grayson and family just moved down the street from us - literally, less than a mile.  AND they are huge Saints fans.  Glad these two are close and can play all the time now.  They are so cute together, they will run around and play and then come together for Hugs.

We all know this boy can eat!!! :)
Waiting ever so patiently for his morning waffle - his favorite!!
