Gibling Lake Visit to Horseshoe Bay

Taken from my Sister's Blog ... this is how far behind I am, but we collaborated on pictures and I wanted to make sure to document this fun trip to my dad's house in Horseshoe Bay...

I can't remember the last time the giblings (gist+sibling=giblings) were at my dads house all together. It was due time. My brother was the one who instigated the whole trip, so that alone was shocking. AND, he wanted to bring his girlfriend to meet Dad and Sally too. A whole side of Kyloo none of us have ever seen - HA!

If you're a Texan, and you haven't ever heard the song Texas by Chris Rae, you are missing out. It's basically our anthem. My dad has blasted it over his speakers for YEARS. We made our trip official by playing the music video upon everyones arrival. Chris Rae and 'health drinks'. Not a shabby start.

The other fun thing is that out of nowhere there are 5 grandkids now. The kids were able to have cousin camp AGAIN. I'll take any time we can get all the kiddos together. BFF's.

Kyle and Pallyn. I wanted to take a lot more pictures of them, but I decided to play it 'cool' and not scare her off right away.

Uncle Derek holding down the fort.

Pretty sweet set up for the day. Something for everyone. I'm just sad I didn't get a picture of everyone on the pontoon boat. And yes, I did in fact blast the Little Big Town country jam 'On the Pontoon' a few times.
On the pontoon
Makin' waves and catchin' rays up on the roof
Jumpin' out the back, don't act like you don't want to
Party in slow motion
Out here in the open
Mm, motorboatin'

The Loch Ness Poppi

Ryder is obsessed with Pallyn. And Pallyn was a great sport. They hung out all day. I lounged and skied :)

Uncle Kyloo took care of the other two, so life was grand!

Roo and Eli buddying it up.

She went straight from mothers milk to, well, I guess some might call those blue mountains mothers milk as well ;)

The Texas hat is ridiculous, but my love for this girl and our summer out on the lake is not.

Oh Kyloo. I could go on, but I'll stick with that.

Eric prepping for the big tube race of the day. Grammi and Aslynn VS Eric and Hud. It was epic. BOTH kids giving the thumbs down sign for Poppi to slow his pontoon roll. Hilarious. Also, the weight limit was 175, so Eric and Hud kept sinking.

You know the 'ol family motto. Safety Third. How many children can you shove in the back of Kyloo's Tahoe?!?

Just the girls.

There's no napping on a slip and slide!! (In my best Tom Hanks voice impersonating There's no crying in baseball).

Sometimes you have ridiculous hair to go along with your ridiculous hat....and then your sister comes along to help you out.

There is a whole series of pictures Eric took that are hilarious. To make your way out here you have to cross a huge sticker patch. I love that we just see dads arm and glass of wine as he is trying to make his way over to us. Priorities.

Thanks for the fun weekend Pops!

Kyle actually moved and TRIED to be in the picture. There is a first for everything.

Have you see my baseball??

Grammi and Evi

Eli looks super comfy :)
