Day 4 - Last day in Napa. Let's make it count!!
Elyse Winery
When Derek decides to take a break on the first tasting, guess who gets double the wine ... and guess who gets double the purple mouth - HAHAH!!!! Pass the wine wipes please!!
2nd Stop - Inglenook. What a beautiful and historic winery. This place has been around since 1879, still in the original buildings. Francis Coppola and family purchased the estate in 1975 and still live on the property. I love a good story, especially with a lot of history behind it, and this was the perfect blend!
Eric and Kiersten joined us for Saturday. Eric used to work with Lucas back in the good 'ole days, so it was fun for them to tag along. They only live about an hour away, so it was the perfect get away for them!
Shameless selfie given away by the shadow ... thats what you get for trying to be sneaky and take a picture ;)
Beautiful views all around!
Is it good luck when a leaf falls directly on your glass, or is that mother nature's way of saying I should stop?!?! I'll say its good luck ... its the last day!
Group Shots!
For the last night, we had reservations at "Auberge de Soleil", Michelin-Star Restaurant. So, we took a little extra time to get ready for this one. Our last dinner, in Napa - so special!
Waiting of our Uber - So classy ;)
These views! This Restarant! Great Friends! What a way to end the trip.
The next day we got about 4 hours of sleep until we had to wake up and head back to the airport ad head back to Dallas to pick up the kids. However, every second of it was all worth it and I would do it all again. I would even take my kids, (with a nanny or mimi part of the time :).
Once again, Thank you Karen and Lucas for inviting us after an evening of cocktails. This was a trip of a lifetime, and so glad we could experience this on our 5 year anniversary, (just to make it a tad bit more special). Now the detox begins ;)
