March Madness - - Davis Style

Just some other random pictures that I want to remember as our first month as a full family.  Love this crew!

Easter Sunday
After our first official road trip together, this family was tired.  We decided to make a pallet on the floor and hang out for dad to get home.  Winnie the Pooh was a huge help, while Evi stretched out and got some tummy time, and I could just lounge out and rest.

We moved into our house 1 year ago.  How is that possible??  And how is Eli so small??

Exploring with Grammi
My mom was a huge help the first month Everley was here.  Thank you so much for all of your help around the house and encouraging words to get us through the beginning of our new chapter.  You truly have a servants heart and we thank you so much!!! We love you Mimi!!
We were all a little teary eyed (or I was at least) when my mom left, so we all hopped in bed watched a movie, and I let Eli eat popcorn in our bed ... you know I was worthless if I allowed that to happen.  And clearly, Eli is so happy that we bent the rules for the day. :)

Smoothie date with my boy
It's almost summer, so what do we do???  Run around the yard naked playing in sprinklers - yay!!!!

It's garden time!  Eli helped me groom the garden so we could plant our vegetables.  This year we are growing green onions, garlic, cucumbers, lettuce/spinach/arugula, an assortment of tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, oregano and basil.  I will let you know how it turns out!

SXSW Gister Style

So, I mentioned in the last post that Ali came in to help me with Everley.  However, her real intention was to go to SXSW.  Even if she was a little bossy, I am glad she did, because she forced me to get out of the house, put on real clothes and a little makeup -- even if she made me change my first outfit and put on a hat because I looked like I was going to a Sunday brunch to sip on some tea :).  Plus, I am glad that Everley's first outing was at Perlas during SXSW.  What a great way to initiate my babe into Austin and music! #Gisters #hipsterbaby #musicisinthegenes

We made it - Gisters + Evi
Prosecco and Perlas.  I couldn't ask for a better lunch to get me back into the real world!
Jenni is our long time BFF.  She has been in the family for going on 12,13,14 years ... I've lost count.  She actually came up with our "Gisters" band name ... (Gist - our maiden name + Sisters = Gisters). Love that she was able to join us
Chillin with my babe

Just another selfie of my sister ... chilling on the sidewalk of Congress in her hat, deep in thought and so hip while doing it
Me making fun of my sister taking "hip" selfies, but I needed to make sure Evi was in there.
And it doesn't stop ... It's pretty fun taking selfies and walking around Congress after a Perlas lunch :)

And the humor continues ... I forgot I was wearing a hat and went to cover up to nurse.  It took a minute to get unstuck.  Such a fun SXSW!

Hill Country Spring Break

My sister and the kiddos came down for spring break.  We love when they come to visit, and Eli is beside himself when his cousins are playing at his house!!  Poppi and Grammi were then nice enough to take Ali's little ones so she could help out with Everley and Eli.  Such a fun and special time!

The grandaughters
All the grandchildren
This one just belongs in Awkward Family photos - ha!

Afterwards, we all met them at Poppi's house.  Roasting hot dogs on a pitchfork ... doesn't get anymore Texas than that.

Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot-Diggity-Dog!

I guess it is a little tiring taking care of 4 children at once :)

Texas Cousins!!

Afterwards we headed to the airport to plane with Poppi's airplanes!!

This was a fun little surprise.  Chad (my cousin) and his son Cody decided to fly into Llano from Ft.Worth for a quick visit and of course some Cooper's BBQ!  It was fun having Eli and Everley meet their 3rd cousins.  I must say, it's fun to be in a family full of pilots :)

Not sure anybody wanted the raspberries after Eli got a hold of them ...
This was our first official trip together.  Even though it was only an hour away, it was a good test for me.  Looks like everybody in the back had a great time!
