Every Heart Beats True for the Red, White, and Blue

We had so much fun with July 4th.  Eli and Evi's school had a fun parade and picnic, and then our neighborhood parade.  We had a blast just hanging and participating as a family.  Such a fun summer holiday.  As Derek mentioned, what would we do if our Independence day was in winter?!?!  No BBQ, no pools, no outside parade - NO FUN!! Thank you to our fore-fathers for choosing a hot but delightful day for us :)
Let the costumes begin!!
<3 <3 <3
Poor Evi - she looks miserable here.  I totally woke Everley out of a nap because the parade waas starting and she had on the best outfit.  Also, she just started kind of sitting up and strapped in chairs at this time, so probably a litle awkward

His crazy hair! The overalls are sooo much, but when else are you going to wear them.  Loved that they made paper visors in their class - hysterical

Everley 4 & 5 Month Stats

Well, its that time again, and I completely skipped over month 4.  Looking over these pictures, 2 months have gone by so fast.  Stop growing little girl!!  Love you and all of your new milestones.

1) 4 Month Dr. Stat - 12.1lbs, 24" (grew over 2" from last appt
2) 10% for weight, 40% for height
3) Nickname is still Smiles Davis and Bacon bit
4) Recently started rolling all over the place (5 month)
5) 2 trips already to Philadelphia and Connecticut
6) Loves chewing on feet and hands.  A tooth is bound to pop up soon.
7) Interested in the touch and feel animal books
8) Favorite toys are the Little Einstein blocks
9) I love that she loves to sing before bed.  When we rock and nurse, as soon as I start singing "I Love you Everley", she looks up at me with bright eyes and a huge smile.  I even tested this when she was almost asleep - as soon as I started singing her song she did the same thing was so happy and calm before she went to bed.  She has basically heard this song before I even knew she existed, since we sang this to Eli all the time.  She has literally known this song from the beginning.
10) Laughs when you hold her up high or swing her from side to side
11) Also loves to do squats/toddler calisthenics with her Dad.  She cracks up - so cute!
12) Loves her brother.  It is so cute when she sees him for the first time everyday.  One time when Everley was having a rough day at school, her teachers took her over to Eli's class to see him and she instantly calmed down and took a 2 hour nap.  Love that their bond is growing so strong!

How many 4th of July costumes can one have?!?!  I love this holiday!

Poor girl.  She was definitely feeling the effects of her shots.  I could not put her down all day, I love the snuggles, but hated that she did not feel good.

My pool girl!

The Bouncer!!  A whole new world for everybody!!
Eli loves to show her how evverything works.  We have to watch him to make sure he doesn't show her how to "bounce" to hard
First flight to Philly!

These are all sooo cute.  I can't choose just one!

One of my favorite pictures of the two of them!  Eli was so happy to see Everley after our trip and wanted to hug and hold her. #presh
