The Annual Llano Fly In

This was the Second Annual Fly In over at the Llano airport that my dad heads up.  I am not sure what we were doing last year that I couldn't attend, except that maybe I was pretty preggers at that point and probably didn't want to fight the heat at the time - but who knows.  This year was so much fun just hanging out with the entire family!  We can't wait for the 3rd!

Ali and I were trying to get a free moment on the golf cart ... we didnt get very far :)
Aslynn was so good and sweet with Eli.  She wanted to push him in the stroller, but along the way we stopped and took pictures at your favorite airplanes...

And favorite bluebonnet patch .... ;)

See that yellow shirt out there?!?!  That is Dad in his element.  His title... Air Boss!
 Chilling with Poppi!
Eli just chilling and playing by himself while the giblings had their fun in the bluebonnets across from the hanger.  Dont worry, we could still see him and he didn't care that we were not there :)
 The best!!

Moving Day

We have officially moved into our new house.  It was definitely a bittersweet moment for about 5 minutes - after all #2117 was where Derek and I started our lives together, and where we brought home our sweet little boy.  I will definitely miss practically everything in walking distance; however, we are so thrilled to be here and start our next chapter.  It is so great to have space and call this our own.  My favorite room is Eli's play room off the living area.  You can tell that Eli just loves this space and he knows the entire room is his.  Everything is almost finished.  We really just have a few more minor furniture pieces to find, finish hanging pictures around the house and in rooms, and I need to figure out my closet situation.  Other than that, I think we are all set, but as you are probably aware - there is always something to do around the house :)

BIG Thank you to everybody that came and helped, we could not have done this with out you.  I felt like I mentally regressed into learning how to be a new mom - becoming aware that you can't just sit down and finish your list of chores/tasks all at once.  I wanted to unload and do everything and get started right away, but with Eli that was a little difficult to achieve.  I had to keep reminding myself that not everything needs to be done at once.  However, HUGE Thank you Mom, Charles, Dad & Sally -- yall are the best!!  Without your help, I don't think this move would have happened.  Thank you & Love yall so very much!

 Boys love boxes!!!!
It looks so different being empty...

Goodbye Apartment!
Moving Day!!  Sienna not quite sure what to make of everything at first, but now she loves the space as well.  As soon as we go to bed she starts her exploring in every room.

My oh my - thank you Charles!!  Charles is the landscape King!!  There was a huge hideous bush in the corner that he dug up for me, and removed 2 random flower beds as well.  Thank you!!!!!! Our yard is looking beautiful because of you :)
Thank you Mimi for feeding so I can organize
Eli loving his play room!!  So happy and excited for all of his toys and his very own room, instead of having everything crammed in the living room.

Our first sunset overlooking the neighborhood greenbelt.  So pretty!

These are some of the hiking/mountain biking trails down a block from us. So stunning, and you better believe that Derek is in heaven with his trail rides :)

I love our Iris.  This was such a wonderful little smile from up above.  Our first morning at the house, this bloomed in our front yard.  It was Easter weekend, and I love that we got a welcome gift from God.  Such a blessing to know that we are in the right place, and this was all in His plan!
Did I tell you that we have a garden?!?!?!  The Davis Farmer's Market is open for business - WOOHOOO!!!  I have been dreaming about a home and a garden for years now. The bed was already there, and we knew we had to get started right away!  Thank you mom and Ali for all of your expertise.  Now lets see if I can keep everything alive :)
I am such a hot mess in the picture from the moving weekend, but I love the garden shot.  We are growing squash, garlic, 4 different types of tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno, zucchini, onions, spinch/lettuce/arugula, cilantro/basil/oregano, and there was already an asparagus bed as well.  I will definitely keep you posted on the progress.

Urban Roots

My team from work volunteered at a local farm called Urban Roots.  This was such a great experience, and I loved every minute of it.  Plus, I stalked the director and learned some great facts for my new garden.  Yes, I was that annoying student asking all of the questions, but well worth it!

One of my teammates made this video, and it just about sums up the amount of fun we had.

SXSW

Alison and her friend Jessica came in town for a few nights.  I was able to hangout with them one of those nights, and that was enough to realize that I can't do SXSW like I used to...One night was enough!  Still had a blast though, and it was fun to hang out without the kids.  #Gisters #andJessica
 The Classic Ali!
Free Koozies from Perlas - our favorite!
And then lets just hop on over to the Continental Club for some great shows!

Viva LOCKE Vegas - Happy 2nd Birthday!!

Where has the time gone??  You all know the Rowe's and how much we love their parties!  We celebrated Locke's 2nd birthday with another AMAZING theme... "Viva Locke Vegas".  The event was filled with black jack tables, Elvis, Locke's Little Wedding Chapel... you name it.
Happy belated birthday Locke, and thank you for having such a great party!!
I swear, if we didn't just send out Christmas cards 3-4 months ago, this would totally be it.  This one is a framer for sure! Love my little family!

I love this sweet moment.  Thank you Sarah for capturing some good ones.  It's always great to be on the other side of the camera with Eli.  We can't wait for her to do the same at Eli's birthday!
 Elvis in the house!
 My Little Black Jack dealer!
 Happy Birthday Locke!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this family.  They are THE BEST!

Little Elvis impersonator :)

Jamming with the band!  Oh yes, we had our maracas, tambourines, anything that made noise.  And yes, I let Eli play with them ... sometimes :) Just a little side note ... I think I have officially turned into my mother.  I was dancing with the tambourine, enjoying the band, until I had a flashback of when my mom used to do that in public and I would get so embarrassed.  At Locke's birthday, I really needed an outing, so I just laughed the similarities off and went on enjoying my evening.  Tambourine and all!

Besties!
