November

Well, November came and left so quickly.  Here is a run down of everything that happened!

Sweet baby boy!  We went back to the doctor for a 5 month check up just for a weight check.  What should have been 10 minutes turned into 3 hours.  Between 4-5 months, he only gained 1/2 pound so they wanted to check him for a UTI  which can sometimes prevent weight gain in a baby.  We had to wait for Eli to pee in a bag.   He literally had a bag taped to him with his diaper over it - poor boy.  So 1 feeding, 1 nap, several books and made up songs about peeing, he finally peed in the bag. However, turns out he did not have a UTI, so we just started increasing the solids and changing the feeding schedule slightly.

Even though this was a 3 hour set back in my our schedule, I loved cuddling with this sweet little boy.  I think it was God's way of making me just "be" with my son.  It was nice to slow down and just hangout.  That doesn't happen every day, and I do not want to take those moments for granted.

 Waiting ....

Getting ready for Jenni's baby shower.  Derek was out of town, and Ali/Mom/Ryder were in the process of driving down.  So we had to pull out the handy Bjorn.  This was our first time in the Bjorn, and now I'm obsessed!

Love how Eli is trying to be in the party pic!
Aunt Ali and Ryder made it - woohoo!!!
Could this picture be any cuter?
Celebrating Jenni and her baby boy!
Fun time with the hostesses!

I am normally the one taking the pictures, so I love when somebody else sneaks a candid shot in of us - thanks mimi!
Ryder and Eli are still besties.  They are so sweet together.

The farmers market is a Sunday staple for us.  We love our neighborhood, and this is just right around the corner from where we live.  Great food, education, music, glass of wine while walking around ... what more could you want on a perfect Sunday afternoon!
Family photo .... oh but wait .... look at little closer .... CLOSER!
BAM!!! It's not every day that I get these awkward photos, so we have to document all of them :)
Our Missional Community held a Mary Kay/Stella & Dot fundraising event for the Tania and her family (pictured in the middle).  They are missionaries in East Asia, and the proceeds went to benefit them and their expenses.  My community group started sponsoring them on all levels - spirtually, monetarily, emotionally, you name it - we are their go to group for anything.  We are so excited for this opportunity to serve and it was fun to start with this event.  More to come on the Shinns ...
Mom and I at our MK booth at the party.  So fun that she could come to help and give - thanks mom!!
