My Sweet Little Boy is Two!

Dear Eli ,

I cannot believe you are already two.  It seems like yesterday that God decided to plop you in our lap unexpectedly, 4 weeks early.  We are so happy he did, because we have watched you grow into a little boy this past year.  You have gone to barely crawling and walking not even a year ago, to running and jumping all over the place.  Your personality brightens the room every time you enter, and your smile is soooo contagious.  In addition, your became the best big brother ever!  You love your little sister so much, and are so excited when she smiles at you and when you can kiss the back of her head. We love you with all of our heart, and even though I want time to slow down, I cannot wait to see how you develop over this next year.  You hold a very special place in my heart as my first born son, and I thank God everyday for the blessing that you are.   Happy Birthday E-man.  You are the best!

All of my pumping gear is in "Eli's cupboard".  He loves to play hide and seek in there, and recently love playing with "mommy's pump".  He is obsessed with marching (from Robin Hood), and therefore used the funnel as a megaphone marching around saying "Horray, Horray".  Hysterical!!

Animal crackers at Granny's - the best!  We used to get those animal crackers whenever we went over.  Guess we have to pass the torch to our kiddos now...

Evi Rose - 2 Months

1) Developing her own personality
2) Starting to Coo and talk
3) Smiles all the time, especially when you tickle her nose and feet
4) Loves to sleep on her side
5) Takes the best naps with mom :)
6) There is one part of her hair that sticks straight up, I can't get it to fall either way
7) Her hair has fallen out in the front, starting to get the old man bald look - come on blonde!!
8) Dr. said her right neck muscles are a little weaker, and there is minor flat spot on her head.  She definitely favors one side over the other, so trying to get everything evened out. He wasn't worried about it and said it should fill out as starts to hold her head up.
9) Not a fan of tummy time at first, but she starts to calm down once she knows she is not alone and you are with her, or when Eli gets in her face
10) Weights 9lb 2 oz (from 7.15 at one month) and now 21.5" (from 21").  Still in the 10% but we will take it!!  Love growing more than a pound in one month - at least compared to Eli
11) Sleeping in the large bassinet that her Poppi made
12) Going back and forth between a sleep sack vs. swaddle. We still havent figured out the right combo.
13) On most nights she is on a 5 hr feeding stretch - 7, 12, 5.
