Southlake Thanksgiving

After Shreveport, we headed back to Southlake for our second Thanksgiving.  I love being around all this family, and my heart is so full with Eli can be with all the animals and his cousins.  He loves it!!

Eli would wake Pa up in the morning\;[] to help feed all the animals.  His favorite part of the day!

 Mom, Aunt Melinda and Granny
 So thankful for my boys!

 Jenny the donkey

Eli's first taste of a trampoline, and his new found love for jumping
And did I mention, that he LOVES selfies!!  He is a little ham at its finest

The dudes and their Big Lebowski attire.  You could give these guys a 6 pack, lock them in the room, and they could just quote The Big Lebowski the entire time ... boys!

 Cousin time

Family tradition, that you climb trees with Uncle Kyloo -- or KyGOO as Eli says it now :)
At this point, Eli was done with pictures and just wanted to look at all the horses, cows, alpacas, donkeys ... what did I leave off the list?!?!

Aslynn and Hudson created their own book fair, selling books to everybody outside.  So cute!
Eli's favorite and ONLY show he will watch ... HORSES!

 Uncle E and Hud time.

BESTIES! Despite the headlock hug :)
Eli didn't care that it started to rain or that nobody wanted to join him in exploring.  He just kept playing and running out in the pasture.
Ok yes.  I figured it was only fair that I posted this picture.  My lovely sister was able to capture all of the awkward sleeping after thanksgiving dinner.  I know this picture will resurface a few more times in my lifetime :)
Family!! So glad the Wilsons were able to join us.  Love it when we can all get together!
Cousin time with Julia and Lydia!

Shreveport Thanksgiving

After Mexico, we made our way over to Shreveport to have the Davis Thanksgiving.  It was great to see everybody, as that doesn't happen all that often.  Glad Eli could hang out with his cousin Frank and all of his aunts, uncles, and grandparents!!

He loved getting rides on the Dolly

 Horses with Uncle Mark
 Playing with Franky

The Whold family! Eli, Derek, Teresa (D's mom), Conrad, Ferris, Aunt Leah, Cousin Franky, Uncle Mark, and Grandpa!

I love his grandparents house.  Such a great piece of property and lots of land to run around in.  Eli was in heaven.  We even started a nature art project with leaves and pine cones

Everybody always comments on Eli's hair, and asks if I cut it into a mullet.  Well, no I have not cut his hair.  It just naturally grows in the back, straight across ... he might just have a little Shreveport and Poolville genes in him :)

It's tradition to stop at DQ for a Blizzard when we are on our way back from Shreveport.  Eli was introduced to his first blizzard, and I'd say it was pretty delicious!!

Mexico Babymoon - Isla Mujeres

Derek and I were able to get away for a few days right before Thanksgiving.  I never understood the reason for "babymoons" until now.  We just needed 3 days to ourselves doing NOTHING as slowly as we pleased.  It was amazing! However, I think next time I go to Mexico I will need to be able to have a few cocktails.  Everything was great, but then one or two things would happen and remind you that you are in Mexico.  It was annoying sober, but minor enough that a few drinks couldn't fix :)

AND - would you believe that the "Gisters" both planned a random vacation at the EXACT same time in the EXACT same place?!?!?  When I was reserving my mom for childcare, she mentioned that Ali and Eric were going to NEW Mexico.  It wasn't until about a month before the trip that we realized we were both going to Cancun/Isla Mujeres MEXICO - oh Katie!!  Such a fun surprise and glad we could spend some time with them on our vaca!

Side note - I lost my phone in the taxi the last day of the trip.  Literally on the way to the ferry going home :( ... I only have a few pictures from the trip, but glad I at least have these..

On our way!

Derek was annoyed that I actually wanted to do an activity - can you believe it?!?!  I thought for sure, he of all people would want to get our morning workout in on a water bike!!

 Gisters!
Everybody rides around in golf carts in Isla Mujeres.  Glad we could participate, but seriously - these things go!!  And why is the 6month pregnant lady sitting in the back having to hold of for dear life.  Glad I can check that one off the box - never again!! :)

Obligatory 24 week beach picture

There is one good thing about riding in the back, you can at least take in all of the local fun!  Love the dog in his jacket and racing goggles.

Cousin Camp

A HUGE Thank you to Mimi, Pa, and even Gigi (Eric's mom) for watching the kiddos.  We could not have gone to Mexico without them, and I loved seeing all of the cousin pictures!!
