What a great day. First of all, can't believe my baby is one, and second of all planning a winter/February birthday is a little difficult. You have to plan for either warm or cold weather. It could be 80 degrees or 40. It's a total coin toss. The whole week leading up to her birthday party, it was perfect weather - highs of mid 80s, lows of mid 60s. However, the day of, it was freezing and windy! Oh well, I lost on the coin toss, but we still had a fun and memorable day.
Everley has followed in Eli's footsteps of their love for animals. When she gets close to our cat or dog, she gets this small little giggle and wants to love on them. So we decided to have a little petting zoo, "Tiny Tails". Except, this petting zoo was all small animals and we sat in a circle and held one at a time. The animals included, bunnies, chicks, hedgehog, chinchilla, blue tongue skink, tortoise, It was the perfect scenario for Everley, Eli, and all of the kids. We will definitely keep Tiny Tails in our back pocket for other events to come.
