10 & 11 Months

Well I promised with his 9.5 month stats that I would stay on top of these posts, and look at me now. April has been a blur, so I am combining 10 & 11 months.  I PROMISE he will have a single 12 month/1 year birthday post.

1) 17lbs or so.  He had the stomach bug twice last month, so now we are playing catch up again. All is well now!
2) Crawling - standard, army, and bear crawls
3) Pulling himself up on objects to stand
4) Said MaMa for the first time TODAY :)
5) New words include - bye bye, hi, cat (or ki-cat)
6) Loves anything musical - dancing, instruments,
7) Peekaboo is his favorite
8) Trying new foods - getting better at chewing, but swallowing can be a challenge.  Let me know if anybody has any tips.  Favorite foods include - avocado, watermelon, pickles, turkey, yogurt
9) Top 2 teeth - 4 total now
10) Favorite books include any ones that he can be active with, including: Trucks, Zoom Zoom Baby, Peek-a-boo, Curious George Pat-A-Cake, and Brown Bear
11) Baths, Baths, Baths!
12) Still loves to nurse, and will try to undress me everytime I sit down with him.  I have no idea how we are going to wean him.  Any tips??
13) Bubbles are his new fascination
14) Wave Hi and Bye

Yes - its been so long, that I forgot about his St.Patrick's day post.
He loves a box - do all boys go through this phase?

He is obsessed with looking at his reflection through the faucet.
So much JOY! This smile is contagious!
 BUBBLES!!

Loves to play the piano with him.
This picture reminds be of the bus driver bus driver, slow down game/song :)
Everybody comments on his whispey, blonde (sometimes strawberry blonde) hair.  It has a mind of its own.  It is too thin to try and comb down so we just let it go.
 My love bug!

He thinks it's hilarious poking your face through the cut out while playing Peek-a-boo

 School Pictures.

My boys!

Pool is in Session

FINALLY!!! For those of you that know me, I can layout by a pool all day no questions asked.  Give me some sunscreen, sun tan lotion, a glass of prosecco and I am good to go.  Oh but wait, now I have Eli this summer:).  It is good to know is he is already a water baby, he is clearly my child.. I am thrilled that he loved every minute as well.
I am so happy that our neighborhood has a community pool.  We will definitely be here every weekend we are in town, so come over and join us!
We are ready - get us in the water ASAP!!

 Pool time is exhausting!!

Kentucky Derby

You should know by now that we love the Rowe's and their get togethers/party.  This was their annual Kentucky Derby party that we always attend.  Each year gets better and better.  Now there are 4 little boys among our group from 4 months - 2 years old.  So much fun!  Thank you Casey and Atticus for another wonderful time!

Destined to be besties like their Mama's :)
Shay and Eli with matching hats (or close to :)

 The Boys!

Iron Mama with a Fascinator!  Can you tell we are mom's to all boys.  Love that I can see the next steps of our kiddos through Casey and Locke!

Love these ladies - but really I love the progression of this photo bomb :)

Airplane!!

More doggies!!

All Aboard!

For Mom's birthday weekend, Eli and I took the train up to Fort Worth.  Derek was trading in his car in Lewisville, and I didn't want to drive separately, so at the last minute we booked a sleeper car on Amtrak.  I have always had a love for trains, and I wish they were more accessible.  We enjoyed every minute together, and it was so stress free compared to the mess I-35 is with all of the construction.  Plus, Eli did not have to be confined to the car seat - he could crawl around and play, we ate when we wanted to, and Mom got to enjoy a glass of wine in the lounge car.  Now, if that isn't stress free traveling, I dont know what is!!  (Warning - be prepared for a ton of train selfies - we were just having too much fun together!!)

Nap times were the best!!  The rock of the train, the sound of the horn with the curtains pulled was the perfect recipe for a little snooze together.
The lounge/dining car is amazing.  It is all windows - even the ceilings!  Eli was mesmerized with the scenery and enjoying his crackers, so I took advantage and had my glass of wine - PERFECT!

So much better than sleeping in a carseat on I-35
